JOIN THE 2012 SLR TOUR CREW
Sustainable Living Roadshow is now accepting applications for our 2012 tour crew. Working with the SLR gives you the opportunity to apply your passions to something much larger than yourself!. Your help is extremely valuable, effective and appreciated. We hope you get involved!
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for education and at least a base understanding of one or more of the following: Alternative energy, sustainable agriculture, alternative fuels, fair trade, natural health care, permaculture, environmental and social justice campaigns, new efficient technologies, primitive skills, environmental education, or other related topics.
SLR interns are integrated into all aspects of life and work while on the road. Touring life can be tough for many and although the rewards of bringing sustainability education and entertainment to the masses are many, this life style is not for everyone. Please take a moment to check in with yourself about how comfortable you will be traveling and working with a crew of 30 people for over a month at a time. Please be open with the volunteer coordinator or other SLR staff about any of your questions or concerns.
While on tour all costs of room and board are covered. SLR crew eats organic, vegetarian and locally-sourced food whenever possible. Each crew member will have their own designated bed for sleeping and a place to store their belongings on one of our tour buses.
We are looking for interns dedicated to participating in all aspects of SLR and life on the bus. In addition to participating in all events (set-up, show, and strike), interns will also participate in projects and daily chores.
SLR strives to represent the cultural diversity of the green movement. We actively encourage people of color and those with experiential knowledge to apply.
