Over the Thanksgiving break this year, SLR sent our Conscious Carnival games to Denver, CO to join Michael Franti and Spearhead for their annual Harvest Ball. The games had already appeared in several of Franti’s Power to the Peaceful concerts in San Francisco, and Michael had played the games while in St. Paul, MN for the 2008 Republican National Convention protest concert, but this year Michael Franti surprised everybody by running the Conscious Carnival games himself. Clearly drawn into the power of this form of edutainment, Michael became the barker for the games and drove home the messages of recycling and renewable energy to the delight of his all-ages fan base.
