Volunteers

There are so many ways to get involved and support the SLR! Please explore the many options below and fill out our survey to get involved! [Survey Coming Soon]

Organize a local SLR steering committee: We are working to connect with local PTAs, School Boards, Chambers of Commerce, City/State Government, Unions, local green businesses, local holistic healing practices, non-profit organizations and more! Help us research what resources are available locally and network with-in your community.

Highlight local organizations: If you are a member of the local community and have a great idea of how our tour and the local community can collaborate, please let us know.

Volunteer at local SLR Events: SLR is looking for volunteers to help with the set-up, operations and striking of the SLR. This is an amazing opportunity to take part in the creation of your communities event!

Organize an SLR pot-luck: Pot-luck dinners are amazing ways to create community and share local, organic food. Organize a pot-luck dinner with your friends, family and co-workers to help raise awareness and funding about the SLR. Register your event on our Tour Route map and join a national movement of SLR pot-luck dinners!

Help with the pre-production of SLR: We have decentralized our methods of production in order to integrate more of our community in this project. We have a large list of jobs ranging from networking with local communities and creating educational posters to creating video testimonials and researching facts/statistics about sustainable living strategies and trends. Please fill out the survey if you are interested in volunteering. College students should inquire about receiving internship credit through working with SLR.

Participate in SLR contests: We are launching several contests to showcase local talent and integrate community into our events. Participate by submitting short videos, stories, poems and art-work with social and environmental messaging and themes. More details on national contests coming soon!
